Berryville refinancing 2012 bonds

The Berryville City Council voted Tuesday night to refinance bond debt connected to a 2012 water and sewer project, a move that Mayor Tim McKinney said will reduce the city’s monthly payments by about $1,000.
“It doesn’t extend the term, just (reduces) the interest rates and gives us a chance to make a little adjustment if we want to at this time,” McKinney told the council.
The council also approved the use of Pioneer Park for Christian Fellowship Church’s backyard barbecue from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 22.
The council’s next meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at City Hall.
