Rowena Mae Smith of Osage Beach, Mo., formerly of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born Dec. 8, 1932 in Port Smith, Ohio, the daughter of Oscar E. and Myrtle Gullett Wikoff. She passed away May 5, 2019 in Osage Beach at the age of 86.
Rowena was united in marriage to Merle Franklin Smith May 13, 1951. She was a devoted homemakerand was a member of the Holiday Island Community Church while living in Holiday Island, Eureka Springs, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Betty Wikoff and Francis Fry.
Rowens is survived by her husband, Frank Smith of Osage Beach, Mo.; one son, Gary Smith and his wife Kelly, Camdenton, Mo.; one daughter, Vickie Price of Glen Allen, Va.; one sister, Eileen Rowe of Denver, Co.; five grandchildren, Karen Berthot and her husband Mark, Lee Smith and his wife Stephanie, Kimberly Ewert and her husband Trevor, Matt Price and Kevin Price; eight great-grandchildren, Noah, Ainsley, Henry, Cole, Carly, Camille, Hailey and Graham.
Services will be held at a later date at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.
