The Green Forest Tigers got to the 3A-1 Regional baseball tournament with a big offensive performance in the first round of the 3A-1 East District Tournament.

Since then, however, the Tigersí bats have gone silent, and that will have to change if their season is going to continue.

The Tigers will face Charleston on Thursday in the first round of the regional tournament at West Fork.

Green Forest (6-15) earned the regional bid by beating Mountain View 8-5 in the first round of the district tournament at Clinton, but the Tigers havenít scored a run since then. Green Forest lost to Clinton 10-0 in the district semifinals on Tuesday, April 23, then fell to Valley Springs 11-0 in the third-place game on Friday.

Green Forest had just one hit in the loss to Clinton, and just three against Valley Springs.

Charleston (19-4) won the 3A-1 West regular-season and district tournament titles.
