Geraldine Mae Bialka (Sheppard), resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was born April 20, 1937, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, daughter of Vivian Lefebvre and Robert Sheppard. She departed this life on April 22, 2019, in Eureka Springs, at the age of 82.
Geraldine was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She worked as a ticket maker for the Fingerhut Corporation. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking and working in her flower beds.
She is survived by one son, Louis Bialka and Julie Blum of Grandview; three daughters, Gloria Anne and husband, Jeffrey Agresto, of Eureka Springs, Catherine Mae and husband, David Chaffee, of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, and Gail Lynn and husband, Larry Wolfe, of Eureka Springs; ten grandchildren, Norbert Bialka, III, Rebecca Bialka, Kandice Chaffee, Samantha Chaffee, Amanda Wolfe, Nicholas Wolfe, Ryan Ramberg, Jamie Ramberg, Samantha Sauter and Mathew Bialka; thirteen grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters.
On August 15, 1958, Geraldine was united in marriage with Norbert Bialka, Sr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Norbert Bialka, II; her parents; step-father, Howard Sanford; and sister, Marlene Chacos.
A funeral rosary service will be 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Nelsonís Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs. Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Nelsonís Chapel of the Springs. If you would like to visit with the family afterwards, they will be gathering at the Forest Hill Restaurant in Eureka Springs. Cremation will follow the services and the inurnment of cremains will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hinckley, Minnesota.
