Berryville High School was vandalized last week.

Superintendent Owen Powell said two young men spray-painted some profanities on the high school building either Thursday night or early Friday morning. Both were caught by 9 a.m. Friday morning, he said.

“One is a current student, and one is a former student,” Powell said. “Both were issued citations for vandalism.”

The high school disciplined the current student according to the student handbook’s guidelines on vandalism, he said.

Powell said the damage to the high school totaled about $1,000.
