Tigers drop doubleheader to Rose Bud

Freshman Barrett Phillips had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run for the Green Forest Tigers in a 15-8 loss to visiting Rose Bud in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday.

Green Forest took the lead with four runs in the bottom of the first inning, but Rose Bud scored two runs each in the third and fourth, then added four more in the fifth for an 8-5 lead. The Ramblers scored six runs in the sixth to make it 14-6.

Freshman Isaac Demeyer also had two hits for the Tigers, and sophomore Reiley Gordon drove in one run and scored two.

Rose Bud won the second game 15-0.

In softball, Rose Bud defeated Green Forest 22-0 in three innings Tuesday.

The Green Forest baseball team hosted West Fork on Thursday, while the softball team played at Valley Springs.
