The first-ever Carroll County Home Expo and Garden Show will be held at the Berryville Community Center from 9 a.m.to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 9.

The Greater Berryville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Berryville Community Center (BCC) will host the event with support from their sponsors.

The event is free and open to the public. Steve Johnson, executive director of the Greater Berryville Area Chamber of Commerce, said it will be a terrific way to meet face-to-face with builders, contractors, home repair and remodeling experts, bankers, outdoor lawn care, landscaping and garden pros, to build your dream home, spruce up your existing home and garden, work with real estate pros to find your new home and have a fun experience all at the same time.

“We’ve got over 45 vendors who will have a presence there,” Johnson said. “We’re getting a few more today and possibly this week for the outside booths, so somebody could still get in the next few days. Basically, we’re filled up and are looking forward to a great show.”

He continued, “We’ve got everything home-related from builders and real estate professionals to all kinds of home improvement, home repair and gardening. We’ve got a whole range of different things from all over our area.”

Johnson said there will also be a free gardening class hosted by North Arkansas College’s Carroll County Center at 10 a.m. to help you get your garden off to a great start this spring.

He said the Chamber will be raffling off two big-screen televisions for $1 a ticket, and the Junior Chamber Board from Berryville High School will have a fundraiser cooking hot dogs and selling nachos at the event.

“We’ll also be raffling off a new La-Z-Boy recliner from Brashears Furniture,” Johnson said. “We’re excited about our sponsors helping to bring this all together. There’s been a lot of enthusiasm and excitement from folks to showcase their business there, and there’s also a big interest from people wanting to attend it this coming Saturday.”
