GF board renews contracts for next school year

The Green Forest School Board renewed several administrators’ contracts at its meeting on Monday, Feb. 18.

The board voted to renew the following contracts for the 2019-20 school year: director of instruction, federal programs coordinator, instructional facilitator and assistant principal Lisa Carlon, elementary principal Danette Chaney, intermediate principal and instructional facilitator Chandra Anderson, middle school principal and instructional facilitator Tim Booth, high school principal Terry Darnell, special education supervisor Trish Evans, athletic director and teacher Bobby Bishop, transportation supervisor Eddie Phillips, food service director Shelly Fultz and technology coordinator Jim Poff.

The board also voted to accept the resignation of high school librarian Jan Badovinac and high school speech and drama teacher Michael LaGue. The board voted to hire Gary Marshall for maintenance.

The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday, March 11, in the high school library.
