Bobcat wrestlers compete at Greenbrier

The Berryville High School wrestling team competed in the Duals at the Brier dual tournament on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Greenbrier.

Berryville won three of five matches as a team, defeating Shiloh Christian, Pulaski Robinson and North Little Rock, while losing to Pulaski Academy and Greenbrier.

Berryville freshman Caleb Record went 5-0 at 106 pounds, winning two matches by pin, two by decision and one by forfeit.

The Bobcats’ Brett Parsons went 5-0 at 145 pounds, winning two matches by pin and three by decision.

Dylan Sperduto went 5-0 at 120 pounds, winning two matches by pin and three by forfeit.

At 132 pounds, Berryville’s Cesar Martinez went 4-1 with four victories by pin.

Berryville senior Christian Lemus wrested in both the 182- and 195-pound weight classes and went 5-0 in each class. Lemus won four matches by pin and one by forfeit in each class.

At 285 pounds, Berryville junior Colton Record went 4-1, winning two matches by pin and two by forfeit. Record’s only loss came to Greenbrier’s Landen Mazur in the fourth tiebreaker.

Berryville’s Dominic Henry won one match by pin and four by forfeit at 113 pounds.

Carlos Escobar won one match by pin and another by decision at 152 pounds.
