Charles Howard Sr.
CHARLES EDWIN HOWARD, SR., of Berryville, Arkansas, was born January 1, 1934 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to William Bryan and Edith (Bloomer) Howard. He departed this life on January 29, 2019 at the age of 85 years.
Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, American Legion and First Christian Church in Berryville. Chuck loved spending time with his family and playing with his dogs. He also enjoyed bowling, watching football and the Weather Channel, and was always tinkering on something.
On June 20, 1992, he was united in marriage with Cheryl (Schraml) Howard, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by four daughters, Edi Tipton (Rick) of Green Forest, Kathy Iles (Mitch) of Rogers, Brenda Conner of Eureka Springs and Deborah Elfindale (Mike) of California; one son, Charles E. Howard, Jr. (Karen) of Missouri; extended family, Tera Generaux of Berryville, Dwayne Generaux (Ronda) of Buffalo, Missouri, Kimberly Proctor (Roger) of Grove, Oklahoma and Billy Bean (Bess) of Berryville; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Annette Howard; brother, William J. Howard, Jr.; sisters, Mary Louise Danhof and Illa Mae Hargrove; great grandson, Logan Elfindale.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
