Community of Christ offers Community Enrichment Grants

Tuesday, January 22, 2019

The Berryville Congregation of Community of Christ Church is now accepting applications for its 2019 Community Enrichment Grant opportunities. The purpose of these grants is to support community-based programs that promote positive changes in the lives of the people of Berryville and the Carroll County area.

While membership in Community of Christ is not a requirement, programs must offer services in a manner that is consistent with the Enduring Principles of Community of Christ (www.cofchrist.org/enduring-principles). According to Pastor Robb Wilcox, “We are a small congregation with limited resources, but we have put money aside for a grant program to support those non-profits that help people change their lives in a positive way, anything from lending financial support for education to providing adaptive equipment that will allow a person with a disability to be gainfully employed, to a host of other ways that programs can help people make those changes that will truly improve their lives. We want to help people have high expectations for their lives and set goals that they are not only proud of but which they have faith that they can achieve. We are pleased to have this opportunity to partner with other non-profits to lift up this community in love.”

Maximum grant award for the coming grant cycle will be $5000. Applications will be accepted through Feb. 28, and awards will be made May 1.

For additional information or to request an application, contact the grant committee at jhntr747@aol.com.

The Berryville Congregation is located at 503 Orchard in Berryville.
