Glenn Webster Quigley, 87, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas passed away in his home, January 14, 2019 at 11 pm, an hour before his 88th birthday and 58th anniversary to his wife, Patsy. Glenn was born in Eureka Springs on January 15, 1931, to Elise (Fioravanti) and Albert Webster Quigley. He married Patsy Lee (Hull) on January 15, 1960. Glenn was a First-Class Boatswain Mate in the Navy, serving during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired out of the Navy in 1968. He returned to Eureka Springs intending to fish and hobby farm, but also helped his parents operate Quigley’s Castle. He retired from the castle in 1994. He was a member of the Berryville Church of Christ where he served as an elder for over 30 years. He loved to read and watch Westerns and was an accomplished hunter, bagging an Alaskan Grizzly Bear while stationed in the Kodiak Islands.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and all four of his siblings: brothers, Donald and Roy, and sisters, Evelyn and Mary. He is survived by his wife, Patsy, of the home; two daughters: Caroline Widhalm and husband, Marty, of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Deborah Quigley Smith and husband, Ken, of Eureka Springs; four grandchildren: Kevin and Christopher Widhalm, Callie (Smith) Sanchez and Kendra Smith; great-grandchildren and numerous other cousins and loved ones.
Funeral services were at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville on January 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Eric Hicks officiating. Private family burial followed the service at Beulah Union Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
