JEAN SCHWARZ, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was born February 24, 1926, in Leesburg, Virginia to LeRoy and Nora Elizabeth (Crittenden) Cagle. She departed this life December 3, 2018, in Eureka Springs at the age of 92 years.
She was a devout Catholic and served as Secretary of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Americas for many years in Moss Bluff, LA.
Jean was always a great host to all her friends and kept them entertained with the stories from her life. She was a very skilled and trained violinist and played with both the Roanoke and Norfolk VA symphonies. Before getting married to her husband she worked for many years as a secretary for first the Corp of Engineers and then the VA hospital in Norfolk VA.
She is survived by her daughter Cathy Jackson-Rode and husband, Paul of Fayetteville; son, Robert Schwarz and wife, Mary of Berryville; grandchildren, Crystal Trahan and husband, Allen of Diggins, Missouri; Ryan Schwarz of Fayetteville; Courtney Scimemi of Fayetteville; Emma Bland and Andrew Jecmen of Bella Vista, Arkansas; Lauren and Sean Wallace of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Dominic Alvarado, James Trahan, Odin and Aiden Jecmen.
On October 27, 1962, she was united in marriage with Robert Schwarz who preceded her in death. She is also preceded by her parents, LeRoy and Nora Cagle.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Nelsonís Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in St. Anthonyís Cemetery in Weiner, Arkansas with Father Mike Sinkler officiating.
