Green Forest named National Beta School of Distinction

Friday, November 30, 2018

National Beta has named Green Forest as a 2018-19 National School of Distinction. This award is an honor given to Beta chapters striving toward academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. With an ongoing quest to instill these qualities in more students, the National Beta School of Distinction Award is designed to award those schools whose chapters strive to build these characteristics.

“Our students work really hard all year to maintain high academic standards, participate in numerous community service projects, serve as leaders in our school and demonstrate extraordinary character,” said Beta sponsor Laine Smith. “Their hard work is paying off.”

Award recipients received a “National Beta School of Distinction” banner to proudly display as a symbol of their accomplishment. In addition, recipients will be publicized at the 2019 National Beta Convention in Oklahoma City this June.

“This prestigious honor is a true indication of Green Forest’s dedication to academic excellence, leadership development and commitment to celebrating their students’ achievements,” said Bobby Hart, National Beta’s chief executive officer.
