A Green Forest man was fatally shot last week in a Bentonville hotel room, and a Rogers man has been arrested.

Officers responding to a call at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, found the body of Tyler Scott Garska, 22, of Green Forest inside a room at the Super 8 Motel on Walton Boulevard, according to a news release from the Bentonville Police Department. Garska had apparently died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators determined that Garska was shot during a robbery, the release says. Police arrested Walter James Bryan, 18, of Rogers on Saturday, Nov. 24. According to the press release, Bryan was in possession of a stolen firearm when he was arrested.

Bryan is being held in the Benton County Jail on a $1 million cash-only bond. He is scheduled to appear in Benton County Circuit Court on Monday, Jan. 7.
