GF runs in Heber Springs

On Wednesday afternoon, Green Forest competed at the Heber Springs Josh Park Memorial cross country Invitational meet. Individual results are as follows:

1A-4A Boys: Cave City won, scoring 27 points and Green Forest finished second, scoring 57 points. Cave City's Luke Walling won the race with a time of 16 minutes and 22 seconds. Green Forest's Lexington Hilton finished fourth in 17:08, while teammates Jake Lopez finished eighth in 18:38 and Paco Rangel finished 14th in 20:06. Green Forest's Colin Delavin finished 17th in 20:23, while teammates Jacob McMahan finished 23rd in 20:54 and Tono Mendez finished 34th in 21:31. Green Forest's Daniel Alvarez finished 37th in 21:39, while teammates David Aguinaga finished 45th in 22:05 and Eli Gomez finished 62nd in 23:03. Green Forest's Jair Juarez finished 72nd in 23:43, while Kevin Solorzano finished 87th in 24:30 and Chris Alcantara finished 107th in 27:40.

1A-4A Girls: Valley View won, scoring 86 points and Green Forest finished second, scoring 88 points. Green Forest's Karina Maravillas won with a time of 20 minutes and 40 seconds. Green Forest's Jennifer Martinez finished 10th in 23:12, while teammates Lucy Rios finished 22nd in 23:53 and Lyndsay Anglin finished 23rd in 23:54. Green Forest's Emily Bolen finished 41st in 26:48, while teammates Margarita Vega finished 65th in 29:20 and Alejandra Lopez finished 96th in 32:32. Emily Solis finished 98th in 32:38.

On Saturday, Green Forest will join Berryville and Eureka Springs in a race at Siloam Springs. The race begins at 9 a.m.
