Cross country teams compete at Elkins

On Saturday, the Berryville, Eureka Springs and Green Forest cross country team competed at the Elkins Invitational. Individual race results are as follows:

Sr High boys 1A-3A: Green Forest won the race, scoring 43 points. Eureka Springs didn't have enough runners to form a team. Green Forest's Lexington Hilton won with a time of 16 minutes and 42 seconds. Jake Lopez finished fifth for the Tigers in 18:59, while Eureka Springs' Tyler Stephenson finished 11th in 19:48 and Green Forest's Paco Rangel finished 12th in 19:56. Green Forest's Colin Delavin finished 19th in 20:33, while teammates Daniel Alvarez finished 22nd in 20:55 and Jacob McMahan finished 25th in 21:12. Green Forest's David Aguinaga finished 27th in 21:19, while teammates Jair Juarez finished 31st in 21:53 and Tono Mendez finished 37th in 22:40. Green Forest's Eli Gomez finished 44th in 24:16, while teammate Kevin Solorzano finished 46th in 24:34 and Eureka Springs' Austin Moloney finished 48th in 24:43. Eureka Springs' Joel Harris finished 65th in 26:47 and Green Forest's Chris Alcantata finished 69th in 27:25.

Sr. High boys 4A-5A: Huntsville won, scoring 31 points and Berryville finished second, scoring 75 points. Farmington's Kolby Gardner won with a time of 17:49. Berryville's Braden Scrivner finished seventh in 18:32, while teammates Carlos Garduno finished 10th in 19:17 and Brian Tovar finished 18th in 20:02. Berryville's Eduardo Rangel finished 24th in 20:19, while teammates Resse Johnson finished 28th in 20:31 and Caden Nickell finished 29th in 20:37. Berryville's Dominic Henry finished 30th in 20:40, while Nathan Engel finished 31st in 20:42 and Manuel Tellez finished 33rd in 20:50. Berryville's Alex Lemus finished 37th in 21:15, while teammates Grant Lee finished 46th in 22:17 and Josh Wilson finished 48th in 22:41.

Sr. High girls 1A-3A: Green Forest's Karina Maravillas won with a time of 20:23. The Lady Tigers finished third as a team, scoring 63 points and the Lady Highlanders didn't have enough runners to form a team. Providence Academy won the competition. Maravillas won the race and her teammate, Jennifer Martinez finished eighth in 23:23. Green Forest's Lucy Rios finished 12th in 23:58, while her teammate Emily Bolen finished 19th in 25:42 and Eureka Springs' Savvanah Reeves finished 29th in 28:30. Green Forest's Margarita Vega finished 31st in 28:32, while Eureka Springs' Ana Tapia finished 34th in 29:18 and Green Forest's Alejandra Lopez finished 36th in 30:29. Green Forest's Emily Solis finished 40th in 34:04.

Sr. High girls 4A-5A: Harrison won, scoring 20 points and Berryville finished fourth, scoring 71 points. Berryville's Cecilia Doss finished seventh in 22:35, while teammates Alexis Steele finished 17th in 25:54 and Samantha Witherby finished 19th in 26:36. Berryville's Hope Braziel finished 25th in 28:19, while teammates Trinity Rains finished 26th in 28:24 and Mariana Hernendez finished 38th in 35:45.

Jr. High boys 1A-3A: Green Forest finished third, scoring 90 points and Eureka Springs finished 12th, scoring 287 points. Green Forest's Alonzo Rangel finished fifth in 12:51, while teammates Kenry Gasper finished 13th in 13:33 and Alexis Rangel finished 14th in 13:35. Green Forest's Kevin Cifuentes finished 27th in 14:12, while teammates Matthew Vasquez finished 45th in 15:17 and Alex Alvarez finished 48th in 15:24. Eureka Springs' Damien Asbury finished 52nd in 15:35, while teammates Seth Gentry finished 54th in 15:36 and A.J. Moloney finished 70th in 16:29. Green Forest's Elias Hernandez finished 73rd in 16:40, while Eureka Springs' Evan Agresto finished 81st in 17:30 and teammate Emory Bryant finished 93rd in 20:56. Eureka Springs' Jacob Eastburn finished 94th in 21:03.

Jr. High boys 4A-5A: Berryville finished second, scoring 49 points. Berryville's Denver Knapp finished second in 12:34, while teammates Trenton Hughes finished 10th in 13:51 and Chris Nequiz finished 11th in 13:55. Dawson Williams finished 13th in 14:07, while teammates Juan Perez finished 17th in 14:36 and Cole Price finished 28th in 15:23. Berryville's Kevin Reyes finished 30th in 15:47, while teammates Carlos Beristain finished 31st in 15:50 and Robby Bartos finished 47th in 18:04. Berryville's Hector Aquaqaniqua finished 49th in 18:14.

Jr. High girls 1A-3A: Neither Eureka Springs or Green Forest had enough runners to form a team. Green Forest's Samantha Delavin finished 21st in 16:05, while teammates Michelle Calderon finished 42nd in 17:44 and Green Forest's Mariana Beltran finished 67th in 19:42. Eureka Springs' Ana Crider finished 74h in 21:33.

Jr. High girls 4A-5A: Berryville finished third, scoring 94 points. Berryville's Gisselle Estrada finished second in 14:44, while teammates Lucy Reyes finished 25th in 16:38 and Carly Smith finished 28th in 16:47. Elizabeth Perez finished 39th in 17:37, while teammates Danaka Thompson finished 41st in 17:49 and Zariel Long finished 42nd in 17:51. Berryville's Janaya Smith finished 58th in 18:57, while teammates Alison Nequiz finished 59th in 18:58 and Erika Hernandez finished 66th in 20:00. Berryville's Marrisa Richter finished 71st in 22:26, while teammates Pamela Mendez finished 73rd in 22:40 and Liz Ramerez finished 74th in 22:53. Berryville's Shyanne Brown finished 75th in 24:03 and Daniela Reyes finished 76th in 24:36.

On Saturday, all three teams will compete at Siloam Springs. The action begins at 9 a.m.
