Chip and Sealing Route 23?

Tuesday, August 7, 2018

Why is this happening? Have the AR DOT people looked at this nine-mile stretch of road between Eureka Springs and the Missouri border? It is recently been asphalted and lines painted. It is one of the best roads to drive on in NW Arkansas.  There are no cracks to fix between Eureka Springs and Holiday Island. They are going to ‘chip and seal’ over the asphalt?... That seems like a downgrade from the asphalt.  They just put down non-skid asphalt in the last two months at the curve starting at Gaskin’s Cabin. What a waste of effort, taxpayers’ money, and inconvenience to traffic on this busy highway during the height of the tourist season.
