Halls celebrate 79th anniversary
Floyd “Cletus” and Betty Hall of Berryville celebrated their 79th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 22. They were married in the old courthouse in Berryville on July 22, 1939. They moved to Greenfield, Calif., in 1941 and lived there for 40 years, returning to Berryville after retirement. Cletus worked for King City Union High School as a diesel mechanic for a majority of those years. After moving to Berryville, both Cletus and Betty worked at the Great Passion Play for many years. The couple has four children: Beverly Mellick of Salinas, Calif., Don Hall of Green Forest, Virginia Harris of Sacramento, Calif., and Charle Guidotti of Berryville. They are proud grandparents of 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandson, making six generations.
