JAMES “RED” HOPPER, of Berryville, Arkansas was born May 13, 1935 in Harrison, Arkansas to Harvey Lee and Gertie (Edwards) Hopper. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Berryville, Arkansas at the age of 83 years.
Red attended the Living Faith Church in Berryville. He loved farming and horses and enjoyed spending time on his cattle farm.
He is survived by one daughter, Diana Auman and husband, Roger of Alpena, Arkansas; four sons, James Hopper and wife, Shana of Berryville; Don Hopper of Berryville; Ronald Hopper and wife, Amy of Berryville; Darrell Hopper and wife Vicky of Berryville; one brother, Herman Hopper of Neosho, Missouri; one sister, Margaret Bush of Benton County, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Brittany Youngblood, James N. Hopper, Rebecca Hopper, Erica Hopper, Megan Kelley and Michael Hopper; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
On June 3, 1955 he was united in marriage with Donna Verlene (Wilber) Hopper who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
