Born December 31, 1943 in Rock House, Arkansas, a God fearing, hardworking, perfect example of a wife, mother and grandmother. JUDY KAY ETCHISON, daughter of Robert E. Lewis and Edith Mable (Dickson) Worley, was called home to be with her Lord on July 2, 2018 – just in time to celebrate her Mama’s birthday with her in heaven.
A woman whose hands were rarely still. Whether it be sewing, cooking, gardening or playing with the grandkids, you can guarantee she was a busy body. From cooking big meals to helping Papa grow a huge garden, she was a unique and special lady. Anyone who walked in her house was always welcome and almost always left with a full stomach.
On February 14, 1970 she was united in marriage with Don Etchison who survives her of the home; two daughters, Donella Ward and husband, Joe of Berryville; Donnita Gerster and husband, Shane of Berryville; one sister, Bonnie Kell of Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren, Kailyne Poor and husband, Kyle of Green Forest; Chris Ward and wife, Rachel of Berryville; McKenna Gerster and Dani Gerster of Berryville; one great-granddaughter, Emma Lou Ward of Berryville; numerous other relatives, loved ones and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Christina Doss; one brother, Harold Dean Worley.
Visitation will be Friday, July 6, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Doby Williams and Pastor Leon Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
