DEBORAH “DEBBIE” ANN HOOTEN, of Green Forest, Arkansas was born August 21, 1962 in Russellville, Arkansas to Jimmie Lee and Helen Dean (Ritchey) Norris. She departed this life on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Branson, Missouri at the age of 55.

Debbie was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the geese at the lake and riding her wave runner but most of all she enjoyed taking care of others. She was of strong faith and a devoted Christian who didn’t dwell on “Why me, Lord.” She focused on “Watch me, Lord. Help me help someone until Your will is my last.”

On July 25, 1981 she was united in marriage with Kerry “Bud” Hooten who survives her of the home. She is also survived by her sister, Jewel Wood of Green Forest; three brothers-in-law, Randy Hooten and wife, Regina of Berryville; Rusty Hooten and wife, Tracy of Harrison, Arkansas; Rick Adams and wife, Valencia of Cassville, Missouri; mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Vic Adams of Berryville; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Dustin Lee Hooten; parents, Jimmie and Helen Norris; one brother, David Norris.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the First Assembly of God Church in Green Forest with Pastor Mark Bryant and Pastor Jeffrey Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at the Norris Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be sent to Norris Cemetery at any Anstaff Bank location.
