From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible was read on the steps of the Church in the Grove at the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs during the 9th Annual Carroll County Bible Reading Marathon. More than 130 people participated in the marathon, which began May 3 and continued until May 10.

The Bible was read for 84 hours during the marathon. There were 19 block coordinators who signed up readers and were on-site during the marathon to ensure the success of the event. Many families came, three generations from one family read, listened and enjoyed cool water to drink provided by Equity Bank as well as snacks provided by Cup of Love ministry.

The closing ceremony included special music by Judi Thompson and Dianne Higdon of Community Affects. The outstanding speaker was this year’s marathon coordinator, Mike Mercer of Beaver Lake Baptist Church.  Bible Reading Ministry International founders Jesse and Bonnie Roediger were there with the ministry’s motor home sharing in the event. They wish to thank all of the Carroll County supporters who have helped this ministry these past nine years and are excited to share all over America with more marathons and more cities who will start their marathons as they travel to teach and share in the outpouring of the Bible marathons.
