Tough competition at Rosson Invite

The Berryville, Eureka Springs and Green Forest track teams competed at the Rosson Invitational on Thursday in Harrison. Branson won the boys competition, scoring 240.5 points. Berryville finished fifth, scoring 32 points, while Eureka Springs finished 14th, scoring 5.5 points and Green Forest finished 15th, scoring 5 points. Branson also won the girls competition, scoring 121 points. Green Forest finished third, scoring 89 points, while Berryville finished 12th, scoring 15 points and Eureka Springs finished 13th, scoring 14 points. Individual results are as follows:

Boys 100-meter dash: Berryville's Wyatt Poe finished 14th in 12.64, while Green Forest's Braden Smith finished 17th in 12.91 and Berryville's Tristan Updegraff finished 23rd in 13.12. Green Forest's Gage Lowe finished 35th in 13.85, while teammate Eli Gomez finished 36th in 13.86 and Berryville's John Morales finished 39th in 14.42.

Girls 100-meter dash: Green Forest's Mattie Phillips finished 15th in 15.13, while Berryville's Lexy Anderson finished 18th in 15.21 and Eureka Springs' Katelyn Ross finished 24th in 15.79. Green Forest's Lauryn Veach finished 25th in 15.98, while Eureka Springs' Miranda Grubb finished 29th in 17.22 and teammate Valeria Sanchez finished 30th in 17.29. Green Forest's Alyson Bruegel finished 32nd in 17.88.

Boys 200-meter dash: Green Forest's David Aguinaga finished 22nd in 27.68 and Gomez finished 28th in 32.57 for the Tigers.

Girls 200-meter dash: Green Forest's Kassidy Bell finished sixth in 29.91, while Phillips finished eighth in 30.92 for the Lady Tigers and Ross finished 13th in 32.10 for Eureka Springs. Green Forest's Yaritza Quintanilla finished 17th in 33.04, while Eureka Springs' Grubb finished 21st in 36.96 and Sanchez finished 22nd in 39.54 for Eureka Springs.

Boys 400-meter dash: Berryville's Kolby Harp finished 11th in 57.67, while teammate Brett Parsons finished 14th in 59.49 and Green Forest's Gomez finished 20th in 1:03.39. Green Forest's Jordan Chuc finished 22nd in 1:04.26 and teammate Urbano Reyes finished 27th in 1:11.87.

Girls 400-meter dash: Green Forest's Lyndsay Anglin finished seventh in 1:08.84, while teammate Lucy Rios finished 14th in 1:15.67 and Bruegel finished 23rd in 1:30.60 for the Lady Tigers. Sanchez finished 24th in 1:32.28 for Eureka Springs.

Boys 800-meter run: Eureka Springs' Josiah Wilson finished 17th in 2:28.62, while Chuc finished 22nd in 2:37.38 for Green Forest and Jeremiah Morris of Eureka Springs finished 31st in 2:51.42.

Girls 800-meter run: Green Forest's Karina Maravilla won in 2:35.95, while Anglin finished eighth in 2:51.26 for Green Forest and her teammate Rios finished 10th in 2:54.11.

Boys 1,600-meter run: Eureka Springs' Kayden Eckman finished ninth in 5:17.11, while Wilson finished 11th in 5:34.79 for the Highlanders and Morris finished 25th in 6:32.39 for Eureka Springs.

Girls 1,600-meter run: Green Forest's Maravillas won in 5:56.98, while teammate Jennifer Martinez finished fifth in 6:19.21.

Boys 3,200-meter run: Eckman finished seventh in 11:52.24 for Eureka Springs, while Reyes finished ninth in 12:53.47 for Green Forest.

Girls 3,200-meter run: Green Forest's Martinez won in 13:09.10 and Quintanilla finished eighth in 15:13.28 for the Lady Tigers.

Girls 100-meter hurdles: Green Forest's Lexey Williams finished sixth in 18.84, while Bell finished ninth for the Lady Tigers in 19.48 and Alissa Smith finished 11th for Green Forest in 19.84. Eureka Springs' Grubb finished 15th in 22.36.

Boys 300-meter hurdles: Eckman finished fifth in 46.44 for Eureka Springs and Green Forest's Greg Wyatt finished 21st in 57.39.

Girls 300-meter hurdles: Bell won for Green Forest in 52.05, while teammates Williams finished ninth in 1:01.13 and Alissa Smith finished 10th in 1:10.20. Eureka Springs' Grubb finished 15th in 1:07.11.

Boys 4x100-meter relay: Berryville finished fifth in 47.46 and Green Forest finished eighth in 50.33.

Girls 4x100-meter relay: Green Forest finished eighth in 59.02.

Girls 4 x400-meter relay: Green Forest finished third in 4:40.95.

Boys 4x800-meter relay: Green Forest finished sixth in 10:34.21.

Girls 4x800-meter relay: Green Forest won in 10:56.71.

Boys High Jump: Berryville's Aaron Cisco finished third at 5-6.

Girls High Jump: Green Forest's Williams finished seventh at 4-6 and teammate Veach finished 10th at 4-2.

Boys Long Jump: Berryville's Updegraff won at 20-2.

Girls Long Jump: Williams finished fourth at 15-0 for Green Forest, while Alissa Smith finished 11th at 14-7 for the Lady Tigers and Berryville's Cecilia Doss finished 13th at 14-1. Green Forest's Mattie Phillips finished 14th at 14-0.

Boys Tripe Jump: Berryville's Updegraff won at 41-6, while Green Forest's Braden Smith finished 17th at 35-0 and Parsons finished 18th at 34-7 for Berryville.

Girls Triple Jump: Doss finished eighth at 31-2 for Berryville, while Green Forest's Bell finished ninth at 30-7 and teammate Alissa Smith finished 11th at 30-1.

Boys Shot Put: Berryville's Conner Worley finished 10th at 37-7, while Green Forest's Carter Boggs finished 12th at 37-0 and Berryville's Christian Lemus finished 13th at 36-11.

Girls Shot Put: Berryville's Kate Powell finished second at 28-6, while Eureka Springs' Gracie Lester finished third at 28-2 and Green Forest's Madisyn Hudson finished ninth at 25-6. Green Forest's Alissa Smith finished 15th at 23-8, while teammate Brisa Fernandezdelara finished 16th at 23-5 and Eureka Springs' Hannah Jewel finished 22nd at 20-11.

Boys Discus Throw: Berryville's Lemus finished sixth at 96-3 and Boggs finished eighth at 94-10 for Green Forest.

Girls Shot Put: Lester finished second at 86-6 for Eureka Springs, while Green Forest's Bell finished 14th at 61-3 and teammate Fernandezdelara finished 15th at 60-1.

Girls Pole Vault: Green Forest's Williams won at 9-0, while Berryville's Mattie Fancher finished third at 7-0 and Green Forest's Phillips finished ninth at 5-6.
