Officers responded to a three-vehicle accident on Jan. 22 near McDonald’s in Berryville. Berryville Police Chief Robert Bartos said two vehicles had been exiting Car-Mart, and the driver of the rear vehicle accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. She rear-ended the truck in front of her, Bartos said, and pushed it into the highway, where it collided with a third vehicle. The truck rolled, and the driver had to be pried out of the vehicle, he said. Bartos said no one was seriously injured in the accident, but the driver of the truck was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
