Ella Nadine Houston Cassity age 92, passed away on January 9, 2018, in Marshall, TX. She was born December 25, 1925 in Berryville, AR to Gus C. and Grace A. Houston.
Nadine married Arthur Robert Cassity on January 23, 1945, in Tulsa, OK. She attended Carroll County Public Schools in Berryville, AR and had lived in Marshall since 1956 where she was a homemaker.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents, two brothers, Fred and Kennith Houston; three sisters, Lelia Stevens, Pearl Ford, and Lorene Allen; two sons-in-law, Joshua Sexton and Roy Alford; brother-in-law, Guy Cassity; and three sisters-in-law, Wylene Kirk, Robbie Andrews, and Virginia McHeney. She is survived by son, Dennis Ray Cassity, Sr. and wife Helen Lindsey; two daughters, Debra Sexton and Deneshia Cassity Alford ; six grandchildren, Dennis Ray Cassity, Jr., DeeDee Cassity Thompson and husband Jeff, Jason Estes and wife Connie, Jeremy Estes, Christopher Benner and wife Laura, and Brandee Benner Jones and husband Michael; five great-grandchildren, Joshua Benner, Valen Estes, Joshua Rieper, and Brooke and Lauren Thompson; sister, Katherine Baker and husband Donald; three sisters-in-law, Merlyn Houston, Louise Findley, and Mary Milstead and husband Bob; brother-in-law, Alex Cassity and wife Betty; and numerous loved nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Little Chapel by the Lake in Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, TX. Bob Bryant of Cypress Valley Bible Church will officiate. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will follow the graveside service immediately in Colonial Gardens Cemetery.
Nadine never met a stranger; she will forever be remembered for her wonderful laugh and great sense of humor!
