Steven Van Carrico died bravely and with dignity in his home Saturday, January 6, 2018 after a brief battle with stomach cancer with his companion Carol and son, Nathan at his bedside. Steve’s rebellious nature and sense of humor remained even until death easing his passage for his loved ones who couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful ending.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Bonham.
He is survived by brother, Mikey Carrico and niece Michelle Carrico both of Berryville and sister Patricia Sims and nephew Jay Sims both of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by one son, Nathaniel Stephen Carrico of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Steve’s companion, Carol Gun who lived with him in the home.
Steve enjoyed watching television with Carol and spending time with his long-time friend Roger Porter. He enjoyed rock hunting, driving back roads in his truck and drinking beer. Steve was known for being a bit ornery, however to those who knew him he had a compassionate heart that will truly be missed.
