Norman Lee Trice Jr., of Berryville, Arkansas was born January 5, 1943 Denison, Texas, son of Norman Lee and Nila (Stanglin) Trice Sr. He departed this life Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in Berryville, Arkansas, at the age of 74 years.
Norman was a member of the Parkview Church of Christ, Sherman, Texas. He was also a member of the Blue Masonic Lodge in South Texas.
Mr. Trice graduated 1961 in Sherman, Texas and received a BA in education in 1966 from North Texas University, Denton, Texas. 1973 he received a Divinity Degree from Sunset School of preaching in Lubbock, Texas; 1984 he earned a MEd in Counseling from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma; and in 1987 English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) Specialist from University of Texas at Edinburg. Mr. Trice taught in public and private schools and serviced as minister in churches in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. He loved to sing.
On September 8, 1962, Norman was united in marriage to Ida Linda (Hullett) Trice. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Desiree Atchley and husband, David, of Shell Knob, Missouri; son, John Trice of Bentonville, Arkansas; son, Samuel Trice of Berryville, and daughter, Schel Seel and husband, Stan, of Berryville; two grandchildren, Alaina Poff and husband, Hayden, of Russellville and Aiden Seel of Berryville; sister, Linda Taylor; two sisters-in-law, Janice Hawkins and Dorothy Brown all of Sherman, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Sr. and Nila Trice, and one sister, Barbara Webb.
