Thomas (Tom) Christian, age 76, of Alpena, AR passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born February 18, 1941, in Orland, CA to Granville and Lena (Krein) Christian. After High School Tom enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, OK. On August 15, 1966 he was united in marriage with Vivian (Nickols) Christian.

Before retiring Tom worked a number of years for the County Road Department, Humboldt, CA. In 2001 he and Vivian moved to Carroll County, purchased some land next to his brother Ted and began to enjoy their retirement. He loved purple martins and had built several martin bird house condos for his yard. He also enjoyed gardening, helping Ted with farm work.

He was a faithful member of Green Forest First Baptist Church.

Tom is survived by the love of his life Vivian Christian of the home, sons, Mark Christian of Montana, Gerry Christian and wife Keron of Redding, CA, daughter, Shelly Dressen and husband Ryan of Lewiston, Idaho, brother, Mike Christian and wife Karen of CA, sister, Carol Graham and husband Jack of CA, grandchildren, Lonnie Brown, of Washington, Britney Henry of Washington, Hillary and Ben Sharp of Montana, Heidi and Troy Hewitt of North Dakota, Taylor, Kelsey and Jeremy Dressen of Idaho, great-grandchildren, Elliette Henry and Chloe and Kassidy Sharp. Tom also leaves behind a special sister-in-law, Barbara Nickols and a number of loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ted Christian, Bill Christian and Les Christian, brother-in-law, Albert Nickols and his dog companion, Sandy who he loved dearly.
