Pauline Newberry, 85, of Green Forest, AR passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her home, with her family by her side.
She was born December 3, 1931, daughter of Albert and Verda Wilson and Eunice Davis.
On September 4, 1950 she was united in marriage with Johnny Newberry, the love of her life. Polly, along with Johnny ran a poultry farm, owned and operated Polly's Car Wash, Restaurant and Laundromat. Over the years she was an active member of Green Forest Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday School for 48 years, and served in numerous other capacities. She loved serving the Lord and supporting her church. She enjoyed sewing, baking and her role of being a wife, mother and grandmother. She had a gift for making all who she came in contact with feel important and loved.
She is survived by her children, Mike Newberry (Barbara) of Green Forest, Paulette Tuten (Ellis) of Berryville, grandchildren, Jennifer Wynn, Terry Newberry, Chris Newberry, Ryan Newberry, Lacey Powell (Kirk), Leslie Zogleman (Dustin), Jerod Newberry (Summer), 16 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, siblings, Raymond Wilson, Stanley Wilson (Vicki), Shirley Duncan (Gayle), Ruth Kinnikin, Charolette Larson, Louise Davis Patricia Davis and Mike Davis, a number of other family and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny Newberry, son, Nicky Newberry, brother, Roy Wilson, and great-granddaughter, Avalon Newberry.
Celebration Of Life will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Green Forest First Assembly Of God Church with Brother Bill Burris and Pastor Mark Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Rule Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, November 17, 2017 at the church.
