Runners excel at Bomber Invite
The Eureka Springs cross country team competed in the Prairie Grove Invitational on Saturday. Eureka Springs' Gabi Bloch finished fourth in the girls race and Tyler Stephenson finished eighth in the boys race. Individual results are as follows:
Boys race: Huntsville won, scoring 44 points and Eureka Springs finished sixth, scoring 135 points. Kylan Pierce of Huntsville won with a time of 18 minutes and 9 seconds, while Eureka Springs' Stephenson finished eighth in 18:57 and Kayden Eckman finished ninth in 19:01. Dalton Arnold finished 44th in 21:37, while Garrett Cross finished 47th in 21:48 and Austin Moloney finished 62nd in 23:15. Levi Crider finished 63rd in 23:29, while Jackson Cross finished 66th in 24:12 and Sam Gay finished 67th in 24:13. Grant Arnold finished 83rd in 27:45 and Hayden Bullock finished 87th in 28:53.
Girls race: Prairie Grove won, scoring 59 points. Eureka Springs didn't have enough girls to qualify as a team. Bekah Bostain won in 19:55, while Bloch finished fourth in 22:07 and Ana Tapia finished 19th in 26:31. Rachel Adams finished 33rd in 29:28 and Katelyn Ross finished 37th in 30:31.
The Green Forest Tigers and Eureka Springs Highlanders each competed at the Bomber Invite on Tuesday, Oct. 10 in Mountain Home. The Green Forest boys finished third and Eureka Springs finished eighth. The Lady Tigers finished fourth. Individual results are as follows:
Boys race: West Plains won, scoring 15 points, while Green Forest finished third, scoring 115 points and Eureka Springs finished eighth, scoring 170 points. Ben Stasney of West Plains won in 16:15 seconds. Green Forest's Lexington Hilton finished 13th in 17:50, while Eureka Springs' Kayden Eckman finished 14th in 17:58 and Green Forest's Ezequiel Calderon finished 17th in 18:16. Tyler Stephenson of Eureka Springs finished 18th in 18:22, while Green Forest's Tono Mendez finished 26th in 18:57 and teammate Colin Delavin finished 35th in 19:39. Jonathan Farias of Green Forest finished 36th in 19:40, while teammates Urabano Reyes finished 38th in 19:49 and Allen DeLeon finished 45th in 20:21. Eureka Springs' Dalton Arnold finished 47th in 20:26, while Green Forest's Jair Juarez finished 50th in 20:37 and teammate Anthony Jimenez finished 53rd in 20:45. Green Forest's David Aguinaga finished 57th in 21:10, while Eureka Springs' Garrett Cross finished 63rd in 21:27 and teammate Austin Moloney finished 68th in 22:08. Green Forest's Kevin Solorzano finished 69th in 22:13, while Eureka Springs' Levi Crider finished 70th in 22:16 and teammate Jackson Cross finished 74th in 23:04. Sam Gay of Eureka Springs finished 75th in 23:43, while teammates Hayden Bullock finished 86th in 25:43 and Grant Arnold finished 87th in 25:46.
Girls race: West Plains won, scoring 22 points and Green Forest finished fourth, scoring 95 points. Kaylee Hatley of West Plains won in 19:23. Eureka Springs' Gabi Bloch finished ninth in 21:27, while Green Forest's Lucy Rios finished 14th in 22:38 and teammate Lyndsay Anglin finished 19th in 23:16. Green Forest's Yaritza Quintanilla finished 23rd in 24:20, while Eureka Springs' Ana Tapia finished 29th in 25:34 and teammate Savannah Reeves finished 34th in 26:27. Green Forest's Margarita Vega finished 35th in 26:32, while teammates Andrea Lopez finished 37th in 26:48 and Alyson Bruegel finished 45th in 28:12. Eureka Springs' Rachel Adams finished 46th in 28:39.
On Tuesday, Berryville, Eureka Springs and Green Forest will all run in Huntsville.
