ELSIE WINKLE BOATRIGHT, of Fort Worth, Texas born May 27, 1930 in Blue Eye, Missouri, daughter of Lester and Edna (Swofford) Winkle. She went to be with her savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 8:20 p.m., Hurst, Texas, at the age 87 years.

Prior to moving to Fort Worth, Texas in 2013, Elsie resided in Springfield, Missouri where she was a member of the Second Baptist Church.† She became a member of North Richland Baptist Church after moving to Fort Worth.† Elsie loved quilting, attending church and sharing her love of Jesus.† She went on several mission trips with her church to places such as China, Taiwan, and Romania.† Elsie also attended the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games as a volunteer with Lay Witness for Christ.† Earlier in her life she worked as a church secretary for Trinity Baptist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma as well as North Richland Hills Baptist Church located in the North-East Fort Worth metro area.

Elsie is survived by her five children, son, Charles Boatright and wife, Beverly, of Waynesville, North Carolina; daughter, Sue Ellen Boatright of Seekonk, Massachusetts; daughter, Jane Scheidemantel and husband, Paul, of Boxborough, Massachusetts; daughter, Margaret Szewczyk of Seekonk, Massachusetts; son, Phillip Boatright and wife, Tammy, of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, John Winkle and wife, Yvonne, of Troy, Missouri; sister, Bobbie Kinder and husband, Dr. Doyle Kinder of Rogersville, Missouri, sister-in-law, Cleo Winkle of Clinton, Missouri, sister-in-law, Sue Winkle of Harrison, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Heather Ryan and Ian Boatright of San Luis Obispo, California; Laura Scheidemantel of Boxborough, Massachusetts; Sophie Szewczyk of Springfield, Missouri; Hannah Boatright and Rebekah Boatright of Fort Worth, Texas; great-granddaughter, Annabelle Lee Marks of San Luis Obispo, California; numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and loved ones.

On August 6, 1950, Elsie was united in marriage to Henry Boatright of Berryville, Arkansas, who proceeded her in death on September 12, 1995 after 45 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Edna (Swofford) Winkle; three brothers, Earl Winkle, Hugh Winkle, Cecil Ray Winkle; three sisters, Nola Winkle, Eileen Robinette, Vada Trost, two brothers-in-law, Clifford Robinette and Gordon Trost.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville, Arkansas.† †Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Charles Boatright, M.Div. officiating.†† Interment will follow the service at the Berryville Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.†Friends and family are invited to the ††1908 Gathering Place, 108 South Springfield Street in Berryville located behind Saunders Museum a light lunch and fellowship.
