GF CC does well in Heber Springs

On Tuesday, the Green Forest cross country team traveled to Heber Springs to compete in the Josh Park Memorial Invitational. Heber Springs won the boys race, scoring 41 points and Green Forest finished second, scoring 63 points. Parker Ables of Heber Springs won with a time of 16 minutes and 33 seconds. Green Forest's Rafael Rosales finished fifth in 17:59, while teammates Lexington Hilton finished 10th in 18:32 and Ezequiel Calderon finished 11th in 18:53. Urbano Reyes finished 23rd in 20:13, while teammates Tono Mendez finished 30th in 20:43 and David Aguinaga finished 72nd in 23:33. Kevin Solorzano finished 81st in 24:07 and Eli Gomez finished 86th in 24:29.

Green Forest won the girls race, scoring 47 points. Green Forest's Karina Maravillas won in 21:08, while teammates Jennifer Martinez finished 10th in 23:18 and Yaritza Quintanilla finished 14th in 24:03. Lyndsay Anglin finished 16th in 24:18, while teammates Emily Bolen finished 20th in 24:45 and Margarita Vega finished 43rd in 26:48. Andrea Lopez finished 53rd in 27:39 and Alyson Bruegel finished 85th in 31:18.

On Saturday, Green Forest will compete in Siloam Springs. Action starts at 9 a.m.
