Shott wins first game with ease

The Berryville Bobcats and first year coach Doug Shott could not have asked for a better start to the season, as the Bobcats got a 61-0 win at Decatur on Friday night.

Berryville led 42-0 at the end of the first quarter. Berryville led 48-0 at halftime and scored 13 more points in the fourth quarter to secure the shutout victory.

Isaac Brown finished with 115 yards on the ground, with a pair of touchdowns, while Charles Archer had 86 yards rushing and Brett Parsons had 53. Tristan Updegraff had 51 yards on just two carries and Christian Lemus added 38 yards rushing.

Quarterback Luke Britt completed two of three passes for 29 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 61 yards. Byran McIntosh caught a 20-yard touchdown pass for the Bobcats.

Devon Smith had one reception for nine yards. Kooper Logan scored two touchdowns on only three carries.

On Friday, Berryville hosts Clinton. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
