Delmar Joseph Garretson, of Berryville, Arkansas, born July 31, 1952 in Princeton, Illinois, son of Joseph Boyd and Mabel Barbara (Hostetler) Garretson. He departed this life Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Berryville at 64 years of age.
On November 23, 1972, he was united in marriage with Leanna Mary (Hostetler) Garretson, who survives him. He is also survived by his five children, daughter, Marlea and husband, Jason Kropf of Berryville; daughter, Lanae and husband, Marlin Kropf of Wendall, Idaho; daughter, Lillian and husband, Rodney Blosser, of Buffalo, Missouri; son, Charles and wife, Joni Garretson, of Montrose, Colorado; daughter, Marisa and husband, Abe Knox, of Berryville; four brothers, Duane and wife, Eunice Garretson of Sedalia, Missouri; Clayton and wife, Eldyth Garretson, of Shelbina, Missouri; Virgil and wife, Sandra Garretson, of Sheffield, Illinois; Marvin and wife, Londa Garretson, of Prophetstown, Illinois; five sisters, Marilyn and husband, Loyal Kropf, of Tampico, Illinois; Carol and husband, Roy Hostetler, of Nashville, Arkansas; Cheryl and husband, Rex Hostetler, of Nashville, Arkasnas; Clara and husband, Vince Hostetler, of Maquoketa, Iowa; Clarene and husband, Aldine Hostetler of Bellevue, Iowa; twenty-three grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and son-in-law, Kevin Kempf.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m.~4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.~8:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Bethel A.M. School, Berryville. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Bethel A.M. Church, Berryville with Richard Blosser, Carlin Hostetler, Doyle Kropf and Clifford Hostetler officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Bethel A.M. Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
