The 8th Annual Carroll County Bible Reading marathon needs help.

More readers are needed to take a 15-minute time slot and read from the Bible. The marathon runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 4, through Thursday, May 11. Individuals or groups can contact coordinator Bonnie Roediger at 870-350-0865.

The marathon kicks off May 4 with an old-fashioned picnic to begin the Annual National Day of Prayer event. Bring your picnic to the play area on the Passion Play grounds down by the Church in the Grove next to the Berlin Wall on the path to the Christ of the Ozarks statue. All people are encouraged to dress in mid-1800s attire or come as you are.

The event will begin with the Cowboy Church group playing old-time gospel music and Pastor Doby Williams will be the speaker. A time of prayer for the seven areas of influence in our nation will be offered. The areas are religion, family, education, government, arts and entertainment, media and communication and business and finance.

More leaders for the marathon are needed come be a “Block” Coordinator. This involves signing up your sphere of influence people and be on-site for a 3.5-hour block of time during the marathon. If you can help be a leader in this Bible Reading event and help with the success of the marathon, contact coordinator Bonnie Roediger at 870-350-0865.
