Clinton Matthew Doss, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas was born March 25, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, son of Robert E. and Grace (Keefe) Doss. He departed this life March 27, 2017, surrounded by his children in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 53 years.
Clint has been described by many as a sweet child who grew into a man with a gentle heart and liked to make people laugh. Clint was an artist and a lover of nature and often created beautiful works of art through his findings in the creeks and the woods. He was a genius about music. You could mention any genre and he would give you some kind of history on the subject. His children said that he loved to spin the old records and have them all dancing all around the house. He loved animals and had many a dog that was devoted to him, especially Brewster, Whisker and Jack, who were extra special. Clint’s greatest source of his pride was his children, Cassie, Jeff and Eden and he cherished any time he spent with them. He also loved his grandchildren and couldn’t wait to teach them all about nature and building. Clint had a hammer in his hand from the time he was a little boy. Clint also had a great eye for landscaping and working with rocks and could transform any space around in to a work of art with whatever was at hand. Clint had a big heart and always wanted to help people with whatever he could do. One dear friend of the family said it best, “I recognized early on Clint had a tender heart and perhaps that with too few coping mechanisms made the responsibilities of life harder for him; but, when the chips were down and Clint’s parents needed him, he was there for them.” We all loved Clint and we are heartbroken to see him go, but, his soul is free to soar now in the heavens with no more earthly struggles and pain. We wish you Godspeed Clint and we love you very much and we promise we will take care of all the things that you wanted too, especially your beloved dog Jack. We look forward to seeing you again one day with arms wide open.
