RITA JOYCE (CLARK) PATTY, a resident of Berryville, was born November 14, 1937 in Boxley, Arkansas, daughter of Charlie Floyd and Ora Belle (Smelley) Clark. She departed this life March 28, 2017, in Rogers, Arkansas at the age of 79 years.
Rita was devoted to her family and very absorbed in their lives. She retired after forty-seven years as a paraprofessional from the Berryville Public School. She was loved and respected by all her co-workers and kids. She was a passionate and an avid Razorbacks fan.
She is survived by her children, son, Donnie Patty and wife, Christine, of Green Forest; son, Ronnie “Bub” Patty and wife, Pat, of Berryville; son, Johnnie Patty of Berryville; Lonnie “Dean” Patty of Berryville; daughter, Connie Crissup and husband, Trent, of Berryville; brother, Charlie Ruh Clark and wife, Alfreda, of Green Forest; uncle and aunt, Bill and Charlene Clark of Boxley; grandchildren, Cameron and Gentry Elmore, Payton Crissup, Travis Crissup, Brandon Patty, Ember Patty, Albert Sperduto, Tim Sperduto, Travis Edwards and Kristy Lambert; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
On April 6, 1957 she was united in marriage with Donald Ray Patty, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ora Clark; three sisters, Charlene Clark, Nadine Clark and Freeda Rhea Swofford.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel, Berryville. Graveside service and interment will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Moore Cemetery, Berryville with Pastor Tim Sperduto officiating, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
