Then and Now

Here's what the Berryville Square looks like today with the highway going through the middle. Today the square is sans the beautiful rock fountain and its Cupid at the top. Instead there are two 1960s era-looking fountains. Tuesday's 'Then' picture was made in the early 1900s, but after 1905 when the Cupid was added. At the bottom right is the Cupid, now residing in the Heritage Center Museum, and at left is the sign telling the story of the Cupid. (Photo by David Bell/Carroll County News)
