No injuries in bus accident
No injuries were reported in a minor accident involving a Berryville School District bus Thursday morning.
A press release from the school district says that the incident occurred as students were being transported to school. None of the students were injured as a result of the accident, the release says, and all students were safely transported to school. Superintendent Owen Powell said the accident occurred when the bus "clipped" a telephone pole on College Avenue, near the Springfield Street intersection.
The accident occurred with Bus #65 (Zebra), according to the press release, which says there was minimal damage to the bus. At this time, the bus driver does not appear to be at fault, the release says.
Principals and school personnel worked Thursday morning to contact the families of students who were passengers on the bus, the release says.
The accident is still under investigation.
