Then and Now

Friday, September 9, 2016
The 'Then' photo in Tuesday's Midweek issue was made in the winter looking west down West Church Street. The trees in today's picture are quite a bit more dense and obscure the building at the end of the road. In the historic picture, circa early 1900s, the Clark Academy had three stories and was used as a school. In the 'Now' picture the trees overhanging the street hide the fact that the third floor has been removed from the building, which is now a private residence.
