Tuesday, August 2, 2016
The filing period for municipal candidates in Carroll County has opened to somewhat less than a flurry of activity.
As of Monday afternoon, only two candidates had filed to seek municipal offices in the county. Kristine Kendrick, a Eureka Springs attorney who was selected last week to complete the late Joyce Zeller's term on the Eureka Springs City Council, has filed to seek a full term in the Ward 3, Position 2 seat.
In Green Forest, incumbent alderwoman Pamela Norton has filed to seek re-election to her Ward 2, Position 2 seat.
The municipal filing period will continue through Aug. 19.
