Bv student, teacher honored

Lauren Spurlock, a sixth-grade Gifted and Talented student from Berryville Middle School, placed in the top 10 at the History Day Arkansas state competition last Saturday at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Her teacher, Delene McCoy was honored as the Mary J. Landreth Outstanding Teacher/Junior Division/History Day Arkansas 2016. Lauren advanced to the state contest by winning honors at a regional contest on March 12 at Northwest Arkansas Community Collge. Her project was a documentary titled: 'Operation Entebbe: Encountering the Evils of Terrorism; Israel's Exploration of Anti-Terrorism Tactics and the Exchanges That Took Place.'
