'The Roy Rogers Show used to always bother me in that there folks riding around on horses while there were Jeeps and other automobiles driving around,' Carroll County News photographer David Bell says. 'But this picture from rural Carroll County validates the co-existence of all of those modes of conveyance simultaneously. In this picture of an obviously thriving little hill town you see saddled horses, a model T, and a 1930s-era car. I will watch the old Roy Rogers Show with a different eye these days.'
