BV baseball has begun

Through two games, the Berryville Bobcat baseball team is 1-1. On Monday, the Bobcats defeated Greenland 5-4. Sophomore Austin Woods was 3 for 3 with two doubles and a single. He also had two RBI. Junior Thomas Trowbridge was 3 for 4 with an RBI and scored twice. Seth Helmlinger and Davis Stone each had a single and an RBI. Austin Woods pitched five innings, recording five strikeouts, and Robby Broseus struck out four batters in two innings, recording four strikeouts. Greenland had just four hits.

On Tuesday, the Clinton Yellowjackets scored 12 runs in the first inning and defeated Berryville 16-4. Trowbridge was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Broseus had two hits, an RBI and a run scored. Woods had a hit and an RBI and Chay Myers had a hit. Jacob Johnson and Cody Hubbard each scored runs.

The Bobcats are participating in the Anstaff Bank Carroll County Tournament over the weekend.

On the softball side, the Lady Bobcats lost to Clinton, 2-1. Emma Hill had two hits and an RBI. Hannah Pruente had a hit and Hill pitched a complete game, striking out 10.
