Bobcats bounce back with home win
BERRYVILLE -- After a difficult weekend at the NWA Duals in Rogers, the Berryville Bobcats bounced back nicely by defeating the Rogers Heritage War Eagles, 42-21.
"We didn't perform as well as we wanted to over the weekend," Berryville coach Matt Ferguson said. "We wanted the guys to wrestle a little tougher. That is what we are all about, the effort, and putting forth more effort than anybody else."

113: Berryville's Blaine Nelson won by forfeit.
120: Berryville's Ethan King won by forfeit.

138: Trenton Jackson of Rogers Heritage won by forfeit.
145: Berryville's Keaton Hoft pinned Justin Brown.
152: Berryville Kris Grile pinned Zack Walkup.
160: Berryville's Christian Lemus pinned Shane Johannsen.
170: Berryville's Travis Hand pinned Anthony Pineda.
182: Berryville's Robert Allen pinned Jeffery Almand.
195: Daniel Tapia of Rogers Heritage won by forfeit.
220: Edwin Sandoval of Rogers Heritage defeated Jackson Wilbanks, 10-6.
285: Hector Suarez of Rogers Heritage pinned Dakota Smith.
On Saturday, the Bobcats travel to Gentry for the final tournament of the semester. Ferguson said it is important to go into the winter break feeling confident.
"I think we still have some things to work on and some dust to kick off, but I think we will be alright," Ferguson said.
The Berryville wrestling team is selling T-shirts to help feed the wrestlers before and after meets. Short-sleeve shirts are $12 and long-sleeve shirts are $15. To purchase a shirt call the Berryville middle school and ask for coach Ferguson.
The action starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday in Gentry.
