Billie Carroll Fort
BILLIE CARROLL FORT, died December 12, 2015 at the age of 79 years. Bill was born in Berryville, Arkansas to Fred and Mary S. Fort.
Bill served as an Elder for the Berryville Church of Christ as well as having served as Deacon for the Prescott Church of Christ for several years. He was a practicing pharmacist for 59 years and served on the Eureka Springs Hospital Commission. He was instrumental in starting the ECHO Clinic Pharmacy and was owner of Bill's Pharmacy both in Eureka Springs and Prescott, Arkansas. He was a graduate of the University Of Arkansas School Of Pharmacy. In 1986 he returned to Berryville to live.
On August 9, 1959, Bill was united in marriage with Lucille (Coble) Fort who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Cherie Fort and Dione Fort Vetsch and son-in-law, Kent Vetsch; four grandchildren, Holly Vetsch, Tyler Vetsch, Alexa Vetsch and Riley Vetsch; and a host of other relatives and many many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Berryville Church of Christ with Eric Hicks officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
