Eureka Springs chamber awards banquet Tuesday
The Greater Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce 2015 awards banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center.
The outline for 2016's work plan will be discussed, and the 2016 board of directors will be introduced.
A representative from the Eureka Springs Community Center Foundation will present information on the proposed community center, to be built where the old Eureka Springs High School building stands.
This year's awards will celebrate several outstanding members of the community. The Reed family of Thorncrown Chapel will be given the Community Foundation award for the architectural significance and importance of the structure in the community.
Other award recipients are: K.J. Zumalt of Caribe Restaurant for her role in supporting community causes; Molly Pinkley for her 40 years of dedication to service in Eureka Springs; and Melonlight Dance Studio for being an outstanding new business.
Tickets cost $35 and include a night of dining and entertainment from Intrigue Theater.
