Earl Jess Miller
Earl Jess Miller, born Apr. 2, 1944 went to be with the Lord on Nov. 11, 2015 with family by his side.
Earl was born in Ste. Genevieve, Mo. to Jess and Addie Miller. He lived in Oak Grove for the past 10 years.
He is preceded in death by both parents; wife, Carol Miller; two brothers, Dody and Burl; two sisters, Sara Simmons and Judy Gretzmacher.
Earl is survived by his sister, Christine Preston of Berryville, Ark.; nephews: John Miller and wife Beth of Berryville, Ark., Harold Preston of El Dorado Springs, Mo., Robert Case of Dennison, Tex., Roger Case of Marshall, Mo.; nieces: Osa Linenbrink and husband Joseph of Berryville, Ark., Rhonda Wareham of Appleton City, Mo., Karen Fields and husband Heath of Berryville, Ark., Ramona Landers of Berryville, Ark.; several great-nephews and nieces.
Earl loved his family. He had no children of his own but treated his nephew and nieces like they were his own. He loved to fish and camp. He loved to tinker with things and invent new things. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He was the life of the party when he was around.
Earl served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967. He was aboard the USS Waller and the Alacrity in the Vietnam War. He served his country proudly.
Day is done, gone the sun, from the hills, from the lake, from the skies. All is well, safely rest, God is nigh. In our heart forever, until we meet again.
