Eureka girls struggle in lopsided loss
GREEN FOREST -- It's not all that unusual to see a team call two timeouts in the final minute of the fourth quarter. Eureka Springs Lady Highlander coach Adam Brothers took a different approach in a 59-17 loss to Bruno-Pyatt Wednesday afternoon, as he called two timeouts in the first minute of the first quarter. He went on to use two more in the quarter.
Azziah Brothers scored the only three points of the first quarter for the Lady Highlanders, making a three-pointer midway through the quarter. Corrina Green added a free throw in the second quarter, as the Lady Patriots led 25-4 at halftime. Hayley Milwaski and Makala Morrell each made three-pointers in the third quarter and Faith Martin made a two-pointer. Green and Morrrell each made baskets in the fourth quarter.
"We have got some shooters on this team," Brothers said," We just have to get them in a good position to shoot the ball."
Pea Ridge defeated the Lady Highlanders 66-17 on Monday. Eureka Springs takes on St. Paul on Friday for homecoming.
